“Notable for its thematic range, the anthology gains its strength from a juxtaposition of styles each elegant and attuned to the rhythms of everyday life." Caroline Kreiter-Foronda: Poet Laureate of Virginia, 2006-2008 |
Joe has three poems in this anthology of poetry inspired by this place where so many poets have lived. It has selections of poetry ranging from poem by the great Hoosier Poet James Whitcomb Riley to some of Joe’s teachers — David Wojahn, Yusef Komunyakaa, Roger Mitchell — to his colleagues and friends — Eugene Gloria, Maurice Manning, Amy Locklin, Laurel Smith, and Norbert Krapf.
