This story picks up seven years after the end of the first movie. This movie, however, follows the life of Donnie's younger sister Samantha as she deals with the loss of her brother. The movie Samantha and her best friend Corey as they embark on a road trip during which Samantha begins to experience visions similar to those that Donnie had once seen.
