Inspiration

The movie was inspired by the testimony of Dr. Abagail Tyler, currently residing in North Carolina. The director, Olatunde Osunsanmi, was contacted by a colleague and told about a woman in the Carolinas. The woman, Dr. Tyler, claimed that she had video evidence of alien abductions taking place in Nome, Alaska. "The Fourth Kind" jumps back and forth between the video evidence of Dr. Tyler, the movie, and an interview conducted by Olatunde Osunsanmi at Chapman University. Dr. Tyler is seen below during her discussion with Osunsanmi. "The Fourth Kind" is said to be a dramatization of events that took place in the forty years leading up to the movie.
